In The Morning
Reading from the Book of Psalm 5:3, 143:8-10
Psalm 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
The morning watch is essential. You must not face the day until you have faced God, nor look into the face of others until you have looked into His.
Psalm 143:8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Listen to the Lord. We need to hear from God. We need to be assured of God's love and kindness. We need God's attention and direction.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
Pray for deliverance that only God can do. Keep our mind on God and not on the problem.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Seek God's wisdom, knowledge, and leadership. We want to be in God's will because that is the only safe place to be. Request that God help you to become stable so any unsettled emotions will be level, not up and down.
You cannot expect to be victorious, if the day begins only in your own strength. Face the work of every day with the influence of a few thoughtful quiet moments with your heart and God. Do not meet other people, even those of your own home, until you have first met the great guest and honored Companion of your life, Jesus Christ.
It's all God first In the morning
